Yeah, boy bands don't work in the way that they used to. However, throw on some eyeliner, put on some skinny jeans, dye your hair dark and swoop it over your eyes, pick up a guitar, and you're in. You don't even need to have any real talent, either.

But synchronized dancing and traditional pop music doesn't work anymore. I do think toward the end, with Gone and Girlfriend, they seemed to be putting out a more transitional sound, but I don't know that at this point, they would have been able to keep up with the trend.
