I seem to recall saying, when Chris's mother decided to open her mouth, that there were only five people in the world that I thought had the right to tell that story and that was the five guys.

That counts Lance Bass in. I may not like everything I read, and I'll naturally try and remember there's multiple sides to every story, but I'm not going to get pissed at the guy for being honest.

I agree. Like I said before, I don't want to see Lance badmouthing any of the guys, and I still don't think that he will, or that this supposed quote counts as badmouthing. If he felt betrayed, then well, it's his damn book and I am happy that he feels comfortable enough in his own skin to tell his truth.

Him telling his truth (and I say "his" because everyone may have a different "truth" to this story) is what it's about. To me, as long as he's not passing on judgments of others as facts for an obvious purpose of defaming another, but instead just telling the story of the disbanding as he experienced it, it's not badmouthing.

That said, different interpretations of that supposed quote, or the entire book, can result in different views of the guys. Hopefully people can keep their snap judgments to themselves, especially if they don't plan on picking up the book to find out the rest, because they're only getting an itty bitty part of the whole picture. It's important to understand the context of what's being said (as in, is he talking about the now, or the then? I have a feeling I know which with this one.), and so I have a feeling that Lance is going to get more than he bargained for by having little bits and pieces "leaked".
