the first time i wrote this it was in all caps. because when i'm at work it seems like my keyboard is always in caps lock so i forget to turn it off when writing emails or what not. it drives me insane. anyway, i'm taking a break from doing payroll. yay for me. money!!
aaanyway.
the cap sleeves are still going to be added. the part of the netting/embroidery that is on the insert with the scallopped edge is going to be the sleeve. so the scallops will fall abou midway down my upper arm. and its a lot of fabric cuz it will gather where it is sewed to dress so it'll kinda do a draping effect. not sure if i explained that right. it won't have any fabric underneath it but its so heavily beaded it won't matter.
in person, i would describe that underlay color as amazing. but seriously, its like a golden brown. almost exactly how it looks in the photo..its silk something...and veeery nice.
i originally wanted to buy a hair piece from cherry chau at the marshall fields (refuse to call it macey's) on state street in chicago. i put off buying it and when i went back to get it, MACEY'S no longer had the cherry chau booth. fuckers. ( cherrychau.com) so now i'm either going to make something or...i have no idea. to be honest. im going to wear my hair up so i was thinking something along the lines of a nice barrette. it would have been something like this but in the brown family. and it had feathers!
i don't have my ears pierced. (i know! i know! i did at one time though..) and i think my ears look funky with earings so i'm probably going to stick with a very simple pearl necklace. and i can't pull off bracelets because they make my hands look fat and stumpy. lol..i might try something though.
my brides maids are wearing this skirt
it looks horrible in that photo but its soo pretty in person. its a nice chocolate brown and it shines like the fabric on my drses. they are all wearing different tops, i let them choose whatever they fect most comfortable in. i'm thinking there will be a sash but not in the color shown, probably something closer to the main color of my dress. and since we're having an outdoor wedding at the end of october i was thinking creamy cardigan sweaters with their initials embroidered on them as attendants gifts. very mmc. my niece who is only 11 is wearing a dress that's the opposite of mine. the main color is the browny gold and her sash is the creamy color. it hits just below the knee and has like 5 yards of netting underneath it so it will be a full skirt. but it'll be adorable. we fought over the fact that she will be wearing tights, but i won. i was like "RARR! BRIDEZILLA!" actually i bribed her with ice cream. she's such a push over. as far as the cermony, i'm getting married in front of my house. my mom has a garden out front that will still have all its grasses at the end of october and we're surrounded by trees so it should be all fally. instead of having chairs for the cermony and the reception we've decided to do rows and rows of hay bails covered in brown paper for people to sit on for the ceremony and have rented chairs for the tent. my dad is building me a (i'm going to butcher this probably if i dont' google out to spell it) chuppa. (i'm not jewish i'm just prejudice against arches...lol) its going to be made out of trees from our woods. my mom and i bought hundreds and hundreds of disposable bamboo plates and utensils for the reception. 100% biodegradable. plus my dad can burn them in his wood furnace to heat our house.. this is my house..its the only photo i had of it online and its exposed for the clouds so you can't see the garden out front... boo. for the cakes we're thinking of doing individual carrot cakes for the center of each 10 person table. they are going to be sitting on a cut section of a tree and we're going to make chocolate cakes in the shape of pumpkins like this one. but they will be smaller. the bigger pumpkin will be my cake to share with my fiance. something different. like me. as for flowers. i have NO idea. my aunt is supposed to be helping me with that. i'm thinking callah lillies. (sp?) and some other kind of orange flowers. i have no idea. all i know is i want some pretty twigs sticking out of it. so i can poke myself in the eye.lol. i think it would be pretty despite the injury factor. i can't wait to show you guys photos! i'm getting sooo excited.
