I used to eat mine well done, because that's how I was raised. My parents never prepared any other way. But when I started working at a steakhouse and we had sample day... a medium filet changed my life, and we had it with a merlot. Heaven in my mouth. gahhhh

When my old steakhouse did well done, they put a whole WHOLE lot of butter on it to moisten it.

I'm used to food snobs, I used to wait on them 5 times a week.
