Katy has 9 #1s on the Hot 100. It's all worthless either way. You can't compare hit singles from back when people actually had to leave their house to purchase a single to the songs that become hits nowadays. From 1998 onwards you could get a hit if radio programmers were persuaded to put your song in heavy rotation and from 2012 onwards if you have enough YouTube views and streams to factor into the equation.
