You go with the plan and see if you'll even get treated for things like cancer with no insurance.  An oncologist isn't going to treat you if you don't have it. My treatments for breast cancer easily cost over $100,000. Oh and guess what, you won't qualify for most drug companies' help with the co-pays for their drugs if you don't have insurance.
