My publisher came up with the idea of me going through my book and annotating all of my regrets and mistakes. I liked that idea. I thought it was innovative and interesting, but of course the actual execution of that idea turned out to be excruciating. Owning your past mistakes is no day at the beach but I do believe it is an important endeavor to undertake.

If she'd gotten to this part and said that upon going through the book she realized that she needed to apologize and that she refused to re-issue the book as an annotated version because writing it in the first place was wrong, then I'd commend her.  But since this period of self-reflection does not seem to have changed her plans, it comes across as an empty plea for attention and sales.
