Alanis' first two albums aren't all that bad. People just trash them cuz of the change in direction she took when she became huge. Obviously her stuff from JLP on is superior, but there's some gems on those pop albums too.

I stanned for Stacie Orrico back when her first album, Genuine, was out and she was purely Christian teen pop. I never listened to much CCM, even when I was a Christian, but I loved her cuz her music wasn't boring or stuck 10 years behind current musical trends, but was actually just as upbeat and peppy as anything Britney or Christina did at the time. I was actually so happy for her when she started getting mainstream attention with "Stuck" and "More To Life" and the self-titled album, cuz now the mainstream knew who she was just like me. I actually remember staying up till like 4 AM downloading the leak of her Say It Again album on dial-up like a year before it was finally reworked and released as Stacie Orrico.

I really wish she'd release another album. I wasn't much here for Beautiful Awakening, although it had some great songs, but still.
