Maybe they could have cut her into portions and cremated like that. like half and half or something.
wtf

We're talking about a human being here. I would definitely not be okay with someone chopping my loved one into pieces. I'd be traumatized for life.
The crematorium should have known better and directed the family to a more adequate place.

But the body is being burned to ash. I don't see the issue in cutting it up.
I have been to several cremations, and yes, of course, the body is burned to ash, but at least nobody messes with it and cuts it into pieces like a dead cow. The idea that someone would cut my loved one, or even my dog into pieces before the cremation is sickening. Whether it's a burial or a cremation, everything is always done with a lot of respect for the body. They are cleaned and dressed for their last goodbye. Even my dog was brushed and then wrapped into a beautiful blanket before they put him in there. I would seriously need therapy for a very long time if anyone had messed with his body beforehand. And if it was a parent, it would even be worse. This last process (whether buried underground or cremated) is so important for grieving families. I've been through it several times, and it's those last moments that are crucial when it comes to grieving and healing from the loss. You cannot possibly grieve and heal properly if your parent / sibling / friend has been chopped into pieces.
