Yeah, my 12 y/o neice cried during that episode. She kept on sadly saying, "Poor Rory!" when she thought in the beginning that he was the only one going to die. Then when Amy disappeared, she just went, "NOOOOOO!!! AMYYYY!!".She was already messed up by the Statue of Liberty and the Weeping Angels freak her out anyway but then you add the loss of those 2, man, my baby girl was really all sorts of emotions with that episode, . I watched it before she did so I had already gone through those emotions, . Btw, my neice has been a fan since Runaway Bride when Donna showed up. She may have been 5 or 6 at the time, I can't remember. Anyway, I wanted some alone time to watch the show so I told her she needed to hang out with the grandparents because I wanted to watch my favorite show undisturbed. Probably 15mins into it, she knocks on my door and asks if she could watch it with me. I told her it was scary and she promised she wouldn't be scared and won't bug me to play while we were watching it. Well, she proved to be my neice because she LOVED it and is a fan up to this day, . Remember the Adipose episode? Up to this day, she copies Donna during that scene where she and The Doctor see each other for the first time, . Oh yeah, she loves Matt but David is her favorite.

Anyway, the best parts of the episodes of last season was when the mythology/history of The Doctor would be brought up. I knew it was only being done because of the 50th anniversary but Moffat and company should bear in mind that those details really, really are enjoyable. They're like easter eggs. They should continue doing that even past the anniversary. It's fun to find new worlds and aliens of course but nods to the past are fun too. It reminds us of where he's been and how he's become what he is.

I failed to mention, even though the writing was not consistent this past season and Matt was always a delight, every episode was still a visual feast for me. There was always, always a "wow" moment for me; It's always, always like watching a movie.

Btw, I started thinking that there's another good thing that Peter is older. Unless they intend to weird us out, the whole Clara/Doctor possible romance is out. I'm happy about that. Sorry if you guys wanted that though, .

Also, wouldn't it be funny if after the regeneration, he says, "Holy crap, I'm frickin' OLD!!" just as a nod to the Whovians who think just that?
