Stupid move IMO. Young teens will just keep having sex and just go to pharmacy to get it. Under 16 isn't mature enough for it. Doctor's prescription makes sense.

It isn't that easy to obtain as it is expensive. It won't prevent STDs. And the person also has to get the gumption to go get it. Many may have sex, but many aren't so keen on going to get Plan B. Plus some are so irresponsible (like adults) and don't consider it until it is too late.

Are people forgetting condoms exist?
BC isn't cheap or necessarily free, nor is it the government's duty to make it "affordable".

And most kids under 16 can't drive, so they'd have to have someone take them to the pharmacy in most towns. Therefore, I don't see it as encouraging sex. I also don't think it is the school's responsibility to teach the kids about sex. Even so, way too much of the information falls on deaf ears. D.A.R.E. surely didn't prevent many of my peers from drinking underage or doing drugs. I'm tired of people making excuses and expecting the government/schools to parent. Parents need to parent!
