I have a friend who hosts these kinds of parties all the time (candles, jewelery, cooking stuff....you name it). She does get credit for the amount of people who show up. I felt obligated to go at first, but I don't now cuz she's having these things every other damn month! I'd say just go to the party and at least mingle with new people and eat some good junk food! The games are fun sometimes, and you can end up winning stuff. Just be prepared to get spammed with emails about the product, since she will most likely give you a form to fill out with your contact info.
Now that I think about it, I am supposed to go to a sex toy party next weekend! Anyone been to one of these??
