Glad they didn't get her. I am not a fan of those dogs. I'm sure many will come in and blame ownership.

"Blame ownership"?  Newsflash, pit bulls are not born as vicious creatures; they are raised to be such by disgusting owners.  I'm not at all surprised someone like you would make that remark as your posts seem more ignorant every single day.  You need to start educating yourself before you continue to make comments based on so-called facts you seemingly pull out of thin air.

I'm really glad the kitten is okay.  I hope the dogs are taken to a rehabilitation shelter to get the help they obviously need.  I also hope the owner of the dogs is located and investigated.

I would just like to add that if this was a Chihuahua attacking a kitten nobody would bat an eyelash, but it happened to be four Pit Bulls so of course damage was done. The double standard in our society drives me nuts. To me, you have to be more cautious with powerful breeds --- that's a no brainer --- but that little punk that's misbehaving terribly and biting everyone it comes by is, psychologically, no more sound than any untrained Pit out there, but people like to ignore that because it's "small." It's so stupid.

Yeah, I think sometimes animals are just animals. Not every animal that acts out can be blamed on a problem with their owner. Sometimes instinct takes over and they do things they shouldn't do.

Yes.

I always laugh at these arguments. Both sides can be ridiculous. I am a certified dog trainer, and have worked with many veteran trainers. It has been found, through studies and experience that some dogs, not matter HOW well you train them and how well they are treated, cannot be trained. They have underlying behavioral issues ingrained in them, mostly due to breeding. It's more likely a dog breed that is OVERBRED, have these issues. Some issues come out through behavior, some through physical health problems.

Some Pit Bulls can be some of the sweetest dogs in the world. Others can be some of the most violent. It depends on a lot of factors, not just how they are raised and their environment or simply their breed. It also has to do with their genes and overbreeding. I love pits, and I think they are unfairly treated by people and the media. But to say that it's only one thing (environment or breed) is nothing but perception and generally only based on people's own experiences.
I agree as well. There are definitely a lot of things that go into something like this, especially when you're talking about training an animal.
