I'm not a fan of it, completely.
Atheism is very simple. It is a lack of theism.

I'm not clear on what this is trying to say: "giving up the attempt to make sense of the world in terms of any fixed idea or intellectual system." But I would guess that it's referring to "intelligent design", but without confirmation, I can't agree with that portion.

The "It is becoming again as a child and laying oneself open to reality as it is actually and directly felt, experiencing it without trying to categorize, identify or name it", is pretty close. Atheists (depending upon how they arrived at their conclusion) are constantly questioning, categorizing, identifying, etc - it's in the nature of an intelligent Atheist to question. They just tend to be more comfortable with the answer of "I don't know" than most theists are.
