What scares me most like I said about winter driving is the people who don't adjust their driving for winter conditions and drive like it's the height of summer and pavements are bone dry. Speeding, tailgating, breaking suddenly etc. That's what scares me. Not the fact or idea of me actually driving in the snow. That I know I can handle.
I feel like this is 60% of the drivers in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area.  We usually only get bad winter weather once a year, and everybody just trudges out into it like it's no big deal.  But they have NO idea how to drive in it, and there's always that idiot on the news who ends up in ditch or passes you on the freeway going 60 when everyone else is doing 35.  I've found this to be true for rain as well.  It rained all day on Saturday, and the number of idiots on the road with no lights on astounded me!  Your lights aren't just for nighttime!  They're for when visibility is compromised (like when it pours down rain for 8 hours)!
