This. Other pet peeves:

- Coming up and saying "I have a hold for Jessica" or "I called earlier about a table." It's 3:30pm. My shift started at 3:00pm and I don't know anything about your table. You have to provide specifics when you come to pick something up. I shouldn't have to go "What was the item you put on hold?" "A dress." "What color is it?" "Blue." I have a lot of hold items and without a description, it's kind of tricky to find your item. I can certainly find out where it is but I need you to provide a description for that to happen.

-Coming in with an expired receipt and then acting confused when I point out that it's expired. That's what the "expiration date" on the receipt is: the day it expires and can't be used anymore. You don't get back the price you paid because your receipt and all of the information printed on it are invalid as of that date. You get back the sale price in the form of store credit after that. If we just gave everyone the full value without a valid receipt, people would just buy things on sale then return them for full price later.
