I don't work in retail but I'm a bartender in a busy restaurant/lounge and maaaan do I have a million of these. Just a couple that stand out, though:

-If you order drinks in the lounge while you're waiting for a table and you want to tip the waitress then close your tab with the waitress. Don't just assume that your food server is going to give her a share of that tip because nine times out of ten they wont.

-Yes, there is a charge for soda at my bar. Is soda free at McDonalds? Is it free at the grocery store? It's not free here, either.

-Yes I just charged you $18 for a vodka redbull. No I don't feel bad. Welcome to Vegas.

-Snapping/waving/whistling or anything related to snapping/waving/whistling at me is the fastest way not to get served.

-I don't care how old you look if you don't have ID I will not serve you liquor and you cannot sit at the bar. Sorry you're super pissed but I'm certainly not going to lose my job because you left your ID in your hotel room.

Wow I needed that!
