Should Zimmerman have gotten out of the car? Maybe not, but I 100% do not believe he got out of that car with the intention of killing Trayvon.  Calling him a "monster" is just ridiculous. Trying to paint him as a cold blooded killer is ridiculous.  In my opinion, he was a man with good intentions (watching out for his neighborhood) that led to a situation he did not expect (fighting with and killing someone).  The evidence that is now released certainly shows this - he didn't just stand there and shoot Trayvon. This wasn't cold-blooded murder.  The prosecutor gave in to public pressure when she charged him with more than manslaughter. The charges against him are wrong and over-reach big time. That's why he won't be found guilty.
That's exactly the problem here, especially given the nature of Florida's laws. If the jury finds any ounce of evidence that Zimmerman was defending himself then he will be acquitted according to the laws of the State of Florida. Not according to any moral base or anything...the laws of the State of Florida. Based on what was posted above, I don't see a murder conviction on this at all. Hell, I'm not sure they could have even gotten manslaughter.

People have to realize that what Zimmerman did (getting out of the car and following) might have been stupid and ill-advised, but it was not an illegal activity. Zimmerman clearly got the shit beaten out of him. Also, at the beginning, they kept showing pictures of Trayvon in his nice school photo and whatnot and then pictures of Zimmerman at the police station after he had the shit beaten out of him. Nice media direction there. Make the kid look like a choir boy and Zimmerman look like a thug. This kids was not the poster child for good behavior. The prosecutor caved to media attention and all that is going to happen is a very large and very expensive trial for a man who will be found innocent and even more money will be spent when protestors riot after the fact. Nice job Florida.

Why do people keep bringing this up as if it had ANYTHING to do with the situation at hand? Doesn't matter what kind of person you THINK Trayvon was or what picture they showed, Bringing up that Trayvon wasn't "innocent" or "a choir boy" basically says that he may have deserved to die because he was less than perfect. I'm not saying that that's what you're saying, I'm just making you aware that that's how this statement comes off. In that moment, on that night, Trayvon Martin was doing nothing wrong but walking home from the store and was profiled by a man who has a history of profiling black people and a history of violence. That is a fact.

The fact is, Zimmerman was advised NOT to follow him and he did. Zimmerman created a situation where a kid is dead because he felt the need to play Sheriff and profile a young black kid. If they don't find him guilty (which lets' be honest..they won't. It's Florida we're talking about here) the family should file a civil suit because Zimmerman is 100% liable for his death IMO. Zimmermans injuries do not prove that Trayvon did anything wrong or self defense for Zimmerman. All it shows is that this kid decided he wasn't gonna go down without a fight when a strange guy profiled and followed him, and any other person would have done the same thing.

Lastly, if that's what you call "getting the shit beat of out" then you must not have seen many fights.
