There's already a Batman reboot announced for 2015 that Nolan will be the producer on. No director or cast attached yet, but that's what IMDB states. Personally, I'm against doing a reboot of a trilogy that ended 3 years prior, especially coming on the heels of Nolans films, but I'm HOPING that with him being on as a producer that they won't be total crap. We'll just have to wait and see.

As for Avengers, saw it last night and I definitely liked it. I couldn't really get into Iron Man and I didn't even see Captain America or Thor because I find that I'm just not a fan of the Marvel films, but this one was very very well done. Great action and lots of good laughs. It entertained me and I consider my money well spent.

I will say that Avengers is a different kind of film from the Batman films so while people are doing comparisons, I don't think you can compare them. Avengers is your blockbuster popcorn, summer fun film with lots of action, that was very well done, while the Batman films are more realistic, gritty, visceral and I think, more character films with a theme and/or message, which is what Nolan does best.

You fail at life, even more now. It's obvious I'm just the opposite comic girl than you are though. I grew up being a Marvel Girl... literally. I love Marvel and really don't like DC comics. I find that I love having my imagination expanded to the high heavens, which is what I feel like Marvel's always oriented around. DC comics are just a hodge podge for the most part. But regardless of who makes the comics, I always hated Batman. I thought he was one of the absolute lamest comic book heroes ever created, and still do. I can't deny (I think I said this in a previous post) Nolan's films though. Every time I see a Nolan film I'm more and more a fan of his work.

Back to my movie though, I kind of want to slap you for insulting Tony Stark --- who would kill Batman in two seconds even if they were head to head without suits. Because Tony would concoct some weapon from some stone nearby whereas Bruce would be lost without all of his sidekicks making all his little weapons for him. Sure he studied some... Taekwando or something, but essentially, without his suit, he's a billionaire idiot that's conflicted about life.

I agree about Thor and Cap though! Honestly, I never even got into those comics. I saw the movies because I wanted to see The Avengers so I knew I must, but I was beyond pleasantly surprised by every single movie. You said you never saw them, but if that's the case I find it funny you liked The Avengers so much. I'd be confused as hell if I hadn't have seen Thor and C.A. first...

Anway, those films actually made me a fan and I was just going to go and find some Thor and Cap comics.

Synopsis: I get where you're coming from but I still want to slap you for insulting my baby daddy Stark and Marvel.
