There's already a Batman reboot announced for 2015 that Nolan will be the producer on. No director or cast attached yet, but that's what IMDB states. Personally, I'm against doing a reboot of a trilogy that ended 3 years prior, especially coming on the heels of Nolans films, but I'm HOPING that with him being on as a producer that they won't be total crap. We'll just have to wait and see.

As for Avengers, saw it last night and I definitely liked it. I couldn't really get into Iron Man and I didn't even see Captain America or Thor because I find that I'm just not a fan of the Marvel films, but this one was very very well done. Great action and lots of good laughs. It entertained me and I consider my money well spent.

I will say that Avengers is a different kind of film from the Batman films so while people are doing comparisons, I don't think you can compare them. Avengers is your blockbuster popcorn, summer fun film with lots of action, that was very well done, while the Batman films are more realistic, gritty, visceral and I think, more character films with a theme and/or message, which is what Nolan does best.
