That was me. I didn't have a job so I didn't pay for anything while I was in school. My parents were able to take care of it and I'm very happy for that. But I'm not some broke ass lazy POS now because of it. I own a house rent my apartment and have savings! I know how to pay my own bills! Imagine that.

This. Everyone I know thought it was weird that I never had a job until my first full-time job after graduating college. My parents would give me a set amount of money each semester and that was my spending money (not a lot imo). I'm a pretty frugal person so I would save it and make it last throughout the summer too. I wanted to enjoy my summers and go on vacations since I knew I'd have to be working for the rest of my life after college lol. My brother, on the other hand, would blow the money my parents gave him within the first month of the semester and then ask for more all the time, even though he had a summer job (similar story for my roommate). I was definitely very lucky (and still am) but I'm also very appreciative.
