RE: "Smoke" breaks. Where do some of you work? Having worked at a number of different places as a smoker, I never was granted more breaks than a non-smoker. And I don't know anywhere that does that. Generally, for an 8-hour shift, employees would get two 10 or 15 minute breaks and one 30 minute lunch (one job was an hour lunch). I can just imagine the shit I would've gotten into if I just up and wondered out every half hour to go smoke.

Mine aren't work but are kind of "professional" because I'm going to a business school and we're supposed to present/conduct ourselves in a professional manner. HA! The gossip is NONstop. Half the girls spend most of the time planning their weekends which rarely involve things you'd want your employer to hear about. For a few of the girls attendance is a HUGE issue. I wouldn't care too much about that because it's not like I have to get their work done when they're not there, but when they come in whining about they didn't know there was a test and shouldn't have to take it because they missed every day that we covered the material and the D they have in the class, I'm beyond irritated.
