It is absolutely impossible to create anything regarding Sex and the City, correctly, on anything else but HBO.

I agree with these. I think major factors in the show's success were that a) it actually dealt with aging and thirty something women as sexual creatures in a realistic way and b) because being on HBO allowed them to really go there and get close to the bone without having to tone it down. Making them the usual 20 year old young things and havign to censor the risque stuff defies the point.
