Not to be a downer, but no dog is "hypoallergenic" technically. Some give off less dander than others (poodles, I believe) but none are completely hypoallergenic.

I used to work at an assisted living and the marketing director would always bring her dog to work with her. She said it was "good for the residents". That dog was SO annoying. It would bark all the time at the front desk where people were trying to answer phones and/or greet family members of the residents. Dogs like that shouldn't be allowed in a professional setting. However, I do not see a problem bringing good dogs to work. I'm sure he/she would love spending time with you at work I would say to try a vets office?
