LAST WEEK!! i do PR for electronic music events... worked Thursday 11am-6am (afrojack), was back Friday 11am - 6am (alesso + avicii came by), and was back Saturday 11am - Sunday 5pm (avicii, laidback luke, boris + victor calderone) .. slept an hour and worked Dayglow w/ Benny Benassi 7pm - 4am. Then died

We do events in Miami in March (for Ultra, WMC) and that's normally 2 day events, `1 nnight event each day, soo similar schedule Tues - Sun. AND im dealing w/ the DJs and their people so I have to be composed and alert... insanity

today is actually my first day off since xmas day.. before then was thanksgiving
Do you mind me asking if you make decent money doing PR within the music business? (And woooo Ultra! I'm going this year for the first time I am excited!) Anyways...I am going to school for PR and about to try and get some internships and I want to do either entertainment/music/fashion...or a firm that focuses on such!

No complaints and great perks! my advice would be to try and intern/work directly for a company (in house, compared to an agency). Working directly for the company, you can better address their needs and don't have to deal w/ PR co politics.. which are brutal. too many egos.

& i feel like everyone in NYC wants to be in fashion PR.. if you're not 100% obsessed w/ fashion -- I'd do entertainment or music. Fashion PR ppl always look like they want to kill themselves
