Thanks, guys. She looked older to me, too. They didn't have a specific age for her on her info (one page said her DOB was 3/16/11 and I asked if that was accurate and they were like, prooobably not, so...I don't know, lol) and the volunteers said she'd been there since August and had been more puppyish. I'll definitely ask once we take her to the vet to see if we can get a better handle on it.

We were thinking she might have some Shepherd in her, but greyhound/whippet is possible. They had quite a few Catahoula dogs there. I'd never really seen them before, either, until I started searching the shelters. Apparently Florida curs and Catahoulas (in addition to TONS of pitbulls, but we weren't allowed to have those) are all the rage in Southwest Florida. On Wikipedia it says Catahoulas originated in Louisiana when they were mixed with Native American wolves and...crap, something else I forgot.
