I watched every Tigers game that's for sure. I kind of hate the weak division argument. I mean really they can only play who is placed in front of them. And doesn't having a pitcher that can dominate in general but also dominate your own division make him that much more valuable, there were however many other starting pitchers in the AL Central and I didn't see any of them having numbers close to Verlander's. And for a team that came from such a horrible division they still managed to hold their own by defeating an all mighty AL East team.

Verlander's record:

AL Central: 14-1
AL East: 4-0
AL West: 3-4
Interleague play: 3-0
