I don't really care for it. I just graduated from med school and I've seen a number of circumcisions done. I've seen them done 2 different ways. The first I was traumatized. It looked terrible and there are more consequences with it. The other way, not so bad, the child doesn't hurt as bad (as evidenced by the screams/crying or lack there of) and less complications/problems. I don't think I could ever put a son through something like that, knowing what it entails.

We usually tell patients if they ask about a recommendation on circumcision that if the father is circumcised, you should probably get the child circumcised, just so they aren't confused and don't "look different from daddy".

Lucky for me my boyfriend is indian and I don't have to worry about making the choice. Yay foreskin!
