I just don't get how people can walk on ice wearing Uggs though. It's got like no grip! I can see wearing Uggs on cold days but when there's no snow or ice on the ground.

I love my North Face winter boots! Very comfortable, waterproof and excellent grip for icy conditions!
I also have a pair of North Face and they are the best boots I've ever had.  Warm, good gripping, and ok to walk thru slush without getting your feet wet.  They aren't as pretty as some boots, but after slipping on black ice twice and breaking and dislocating each ankle on separate occassions  in cute boots, I now go for safety and dry/warm feet.
