Yeah, no. Ask a parent who has a developmentally delayed child if they ever laugh at their child. If they didn't, they'd be depressed or go crazy. I didn't see the OP say "what a retard" or anything derogatory, she was laughing at the situation and what he wrote.
You can laugh and do whatever as a parent and that is your call and I understand that part of your point.
My point is this is both a violation of privacy to blow off steam online about a patient and was mean to say.
