Yes, trip was planned solely for my birthday, I'm the one who told everyone about it. My budget is under 100. We got a room for 99. I'm not a gambler so I can easily stay way under. Tires are a good 400, so I have a budget set aside for that, but I should still be able to do something for my birthday.

I'm a strong believer in if you commit into something, do it.

My mom's busy Sunday hence why she's not driving me home.

I haven't gotten much sleep, so perhaps lack of brain oxygen is why I'm still confused.

Okay, soooooo:

1. If you have the $400 for your tires already, why don't you buy them now so that you could drive yourself to/from AC? If you don't have the money for your tires, shouldn't the $200 you're spending on AC be used for tires instead?
(I know you Jersey folks drive everywhere, so I would think tires would be more important at this particular moment. And you don't have to celebrate a birthday the exact day of it, you can do it a month later or so for this one year.)

2. And are there any NJ Transit routes to AC that would bring you relatively close to your house, then you could take a cab home or ask someone besides your mom to pick you up at the bus station?
If her friend would have told her this a week ago, she could have either gotten the tires put on or made other plans to get home.  But backing out the night before doesn't leave OP much time to get either done.  I don't know where OP is, but when I worked downtown I couldnt get my tires done during my lunch hour or anything like that.   The car places are out in the burbs and would close by the time I got off work, so it was always a weekend chore.
