I saw the movie a few days ago an LOVED it. I'd love to see it again since there are details and questions that are sticking in my mind that I'd like to see resolved. The final sequence was possibly one of the more stunning things I've ever seen on film. Question to those who were bored: do you dislike watching ballet performed in general?

One thing that surprised me is that I wasn't "wowed" by Natalie Portman. I thought she was very good. There was nothing technically wrong with her performance. However

Mila Kunis really impressed me though. I'd never given her much credit as an actress but I do now. IMO the thing about her character is that

I think a lot of people who didn't like the film (and I don't think less of anyone for not sharing my opinion!) were looking for the kind of narrative we're used to: character's with backstories, and fully developed plotlines. That's fair because it's what we get from most films. But it's not what this is trying to do. That's what I loved about it. but I can see where someone looking for something different might be frustrated. I'm not saying that's wrong. I think it's great that a movie can provoke such divergent opinion and discussion.
