I go hard for Jesse and Shia

They have ones where you just hold a blowdryer to them and the heat softens them up, and you can soften them to your individual preference. However, a lot of professional dancers prefer the old/original pointe shoes. There's pros and cons to each. And there are times where they get too soft and you have a performance coming up and not enough time to break in new shoes - so you have to make them harder. I remember pouring floor polish on mine and baking them in the oven to make them harder.
