Why would you want to drive or have a car in NYC. ---see, alternate side parking laws.

I've been in the city 8 years now and haven't stepped behind the wheel once. If I need a car for some reason, taxi all the way. If not public transportation. I have had to go to the hospital, and for that, I took a taxi.
I don't live in Manhattan but I do live in nyc, I never have a problem with parking. I could see why you wouldn't want/need a car in the city though.  I also can't imagine taking a cab to a hospital to be honest

How else do you get to the hospital? Cabs are just so convenient. I can't imagine another way.

When I said the hospital before I meant for someone else. Meaning if I had to take someone else.  I just couldn't picture myself trying to hail a cab when I could just drive a person there or the usual, an ambulance lol.  Then again, I don't live in Manhattan, as I said before

As far as being afraid to drive, I understand that. Prior to me getting my license I was terrified of driving and I got hit by a car which didn't really help my phobia. Now that I drive though, its not so bad. I agree with not living in fear as well
