my problem is I have no money. My 2 best friends come from families with a lot of money and I'm "the poor friend" it doesnt bother until christmas time.

I found out one of my friends is getting me a Kindle and I think the other is getting me a digital camera

Its going to be like "oh thanks for the hundred dollar presents heres some Pajamas and 2 dollar black friday DVD's "
I have the same problem. I'm totally broke so I'm making two types of cookies (one called Chinese Chews, another butterscotch cookie with chow mein noodles), putting them in white tissue paper with stars on it, I got bright red chinese take-out boxes at wal-mart in the wedding/craft section (cheaper than the Christmas ones) 4/$1.25, I'm making a bow and gluing chopsticks in there somehow (haven't decided if I'm painting them or not) and then printing out little fortunes and putting Christmas wreath clipart on the fortune, using my scrapbooking scissors to cut them out... in other words, instead of the pity party (which I get- I'm a disabled 33 year old single mom!), find ways of showing them since you can't financially invest in their gift, you still want to show you care with an investment of time and effort.

and thanks to the poster that added the Star Wars cookie cutters! OMG I'm gonna be a hit mom with those! Not really- I just have a seven year old daughter who's never seen it. But, I'm gonna tell all my mommy friends!

I got this catalog today- Despair.com- I got my friend a Demotivator calendar for his birthday last year. It was those fake work inspirational posters in calendar format, and you can personalize as many days as you want. Like his birthday I put "Older than me for the rest of our lives!" I put a warning to order me a big, impressive present for my birthday, things like that. He really liked it. Anyhow~ they have these new books! My brother used to read Choose Your Own Adventure books when we were little and they have Lose Your Own Adventure book(s- second one is not out yet).
