Do what you want, drink or smoke, but stay the hell away from me. I don't want to be associated with a bunch of potheads. I've dealt with them before and I'm too over it. I think at a point in time if you're ABLE, you need to grow up and stop looking for alcohol or drugs as a "pick me up" to keep you from facing reality.
That's hilarious.  People do many things for recreation as a "pick me up" but for many pot smokers that isn't even the reasoning for using it.  Smoking isn't a way to avoid reality for me, it just makes the things I normally would do (watch a movie, read, research out of my own interest, eat a nice meal) and allows me to enjoy it in a different way than when I'm sober.  And the conversation I've had with friends high are always interesting and fun.  I don't see the problem in doing something that aids in appreciating the great things in life once in a while.

My school and job and "real life" is separate from recreation, as it is for the many successful people that smoke weed.  I think it's really wrong for anyone to judge that.
