I woke up and got ready to leave for class and the TV was on downstairs and I was watching it.  I got my sister up out of bed and we were watching.  I then left for class but had the radio tuned to the news.

My first class of the day was legal research and writing, a 3 hour class.  Professor dismissed us after a half hour because no one could concentrate.  There were two students in the national guard and 2 in the army reserves and they had already been put on notice that they were on standby to possibly be placed on active duty.  I had 3 hours till my next class so I sat in the student union watching TV with a lot of people.

My second class of the day, Ethics, was canceled.  There was a note on the door that class was canceled because our Professor was a red cross volunteer and went to go help assist those stranded at the airport.

So I got in the car and drove home.  Gas prices had soared to around 5 dollars a gallon and there was a line about 20 cars long waiting to get gas.

I remember not crying till the next day.  I was driving to class and I just started to cry.
