I was in Grade 11 and I heard rumblings about it in the hallways between classes, but I didn't know exactly what was going on. During my math class that started at noon, our teacher finally told us the general details and then they made a school-wide announcement as well.

I'm just thinking how different it would be if something of that magnitude happened now. Everyone in schools would be on their phones, checking twitter, news sites, live streams and stuff.

I'm in banking now and my coworkers tell me they were on phones with other bankers in and around the towers when the first plane hit and everything was unfolding, and that it was just chilling watching the TVs around the floor at the same time.
