In art class. They told us over the loudspeaker that there had been an explosion in the World Trade Center. I freaked... i live 45 mins from NYC and my parents were on their way to World Trade Center Plaza. They were stuck in traffic and were about 15 mins away when everything happened. I still get shaken up thinking about it. My Dad has TONS of friends at Cantor & at a couple of other companies in the towers, and I remember first thing everyone heard was that they were ok, and they were going up to the roof to be rescued Another one of his friends in the 2nd tower had broken his ankle at a softball game the week before, so was in a wheelchair. When the first tower was hit, a couple of guys brought him downstairs because they figured they'd be evacuated and then went back up to man the phones.

A few of his best friends were up there. I remember for weeks after he was going to a few funerals a day. So so so sad. It's something I don't think anyone will ever get over.
