Eyebrow Threading? |

Anyone here tried to get their eyebrows threaded? Does it hurt? People say it doesn't, others said it hurt like hell!

I prefer it. The shape is so much better when I get them threaded vs. waxing. I've always sucked at plucking them so I don't bother. As far as pain, it
stings more than anything but it goes away after they've finished, at least for me.
Anyway, the less hair you need to remove, the less it hurts. I recommend that if you don't want thin eyebrows, you tell the girl beforehand. |

I love threading. I get mine threaded and it doesn't hurt at all, although it does feel weird.

i hate threading..i think it hurts like a %@@#$. yeah it gives nice results, but i prefer waxing. then again i have a very very low pain tolerance..i cry when
i get waxed, but waxing to me hurts a little less than threading.

How does pricing compare to waxing? I read an article that says you can get herpes from the wax, so now I'm not feeling the waxing too much anymore

I tried threading and I prefer it. It is fast and cheap where I go. Less than $10!
It is more of a stinging pain, but I felt it was cleaner looking. |

i've gotten them threaded before and it didn't hurt at all. I like to get them waxed though too. It really depends on where you go to get them threaded
because my eyebrow lady said some places don't know how to thread right and they pinch your skin with the thread and that hurts a lot.

Hmm...never mind. http://www.snopes.com/medical/disease/eyebrow.asp Still...I'd rather switch to threading. |

how long does threading last compared to waxing?

I love threading. It lasts about the same amount of time as waxing for me. I just got a little teary eyed but all in all it's been a great experience for
me.

I used to wax my eyebrows but I just pluck them because the %%@%+ messed it up. It just stings a little bit to me but I get really red & itchy after. |

Lets put it this way: Threading hurt less than waxing, but its a longer process since it targets specific areas. Its like tweezing, basically, at least to me.
The first time it hurt a lot because when you are not used to it, your senses tend to be more sensitive
(Just to note, I am extremely sensitive so just keep that in mind I guess... |

The lady who does my eyebrows, both thread and wax it for me, she does a really good job but I think I prefer threading more, it's more precise and to me,
it doesn't hurt at all (but that could be because I'm so used to it now

How would you go about finding a place that does threading in your area?

Thanks for your answers guys! I think I'll try threading...otherwise, I'll never know if it would be painful for me or not!

I would love to get my eyebrows threaded because the wax breaks me out but I don't know where I can get it done.

It hurts like hell. Imagine someone pinching your eyelid. Waxing is more of a quick pain.

I MUCH prefer threading to waxing. Like SparkyBlonde, waxing breaks me out, but threading doesn't (and my eyes aren't all red and puffy for days). I
found a great little kiosk in one of our malls that does it, so start there.
