FML. the jumpdrive "ate" my 8 page paper!

Posts: 34079 12/10/2009 9:54 PM Hot Southernmess in a Dress Reply Quote More Recent Posts	Tags : file, recovery & I wasn't smart enough to save it on either computers' harddrive, email to myself,or have a handwritten copy. I was working on it...and wanted to print it out to review one last time. I did the proper eject procedure from the laptop and went to the tower to print. . .whence I attempted to click the folder it only shows three "documents" and their titles are in like Wingding. Oddly, the other folders I have are uncorrupted. And the jumpdrive is a measely 32mb, yet the corrupt folder claims it has 6.0g worth of ish in it Can anyone possibly assist me? Or am I just kinda fkd Wh!t :)

I'm calm because I feel as if there is nothing I can do and crying won't help. Why the fk does Word 97 have AutoSave..but not Word 07?! And I vividly remember pressing ctrl+s every 5min or less. So frustrating. I tried Recuva and the documents I did earlier today I could recover. However none that I have done in the last few hours. Which would include my paper. I did run some Windows 7 thing to 'fix' any files and now I have an icon of a white sheet of paper with the name of the former folder. However whence I attempt to open it in Word it needs to be converted. I scrolled through the entire list of languages and none make the preview legible to me. . .I suppose I shant sleep tonight. eff Wh!t :)

Posts: 20869 12/11/2009 1:42 AM Reply Quote More Recent Posts	I had a jump drive that my laptop all of a sudden wouldn't recognize even though it still worked on my desktop. Then a few days later it magically worked again. Hope yours does too!
