I just got back a few days ago, and am excited to start going through some of my photos.

We started off in Paris:

Our last night in Paris - after too much wine


Up at the crack of dawn to leave Paris - with my breakfast hehe:


After Paris, we took a train to Switzerland. First stop was Lausanne on Lake Geneva:


We then boarded a ferry around the lake to Montreux (the "Swiss Riveira")




Sipping a cocktail infront of Lake Geneva in Montreux (it was included in our hotel - buying a simple cocktail would have cost almost $20 in Montreux!!):


Our hotel was simple but we had this WICKED semi-private balcony with a view of the lake:


After spending the night in Montreux, we took a scenic train journey to the Interlaken region in the Bernese Oberland. Unfortunately the weather took a turn for the worst.

Our first few nights we stayed in Murren, which is a tiny town at about 5500 feet elevation.

During one of our hikes we took a wrong turn. Instead of an easy 45 min walk we'd planned due to the freezing weather, we ended up heading straight up the mountain to about 9000 feet. It started snowing like crazy, but we made it to the Schilthorn hute (which is a stop on the hike or used for a restaurant during ski season)

After the long unexpected hike, we finally got a very late lunch, where we had Radlers (Beer + Sprite)


After Murren, we spent a few days in Lauterbrunnen, a small valley town very close to Murren. The blue sky TRIED to come out, but unfortunately the weather kept on sucking. This is us in front of the Staubbach waterfall from our hotel room balcony:


BACK to the snow for some more hiking. This time it was practically a blizzard coming down:

It was absolutely FREEZING, especially after we'd been in super hot weather in Paris a week before:


Finally, on our last morning, the weather cleared up and we finally saw the mountains! We took the Gondola up to the Schilthorn at 10,000 feet (where they filmed the James Bond movie 'her majesty's secret service") and the weather was perfect

We spent the last 5 days visiting my BFs family in Germany - no pics as there are too many family members in them

On the flight home to Vancouver:
