I was waiting for the day that Tobey Maguire and Jake Gyllenhaal would play brothers in a movie.
 Would look better if Natalie Portman wasn't in it.

Its definitely weird seeing her in a grown up role, and playing a mom on top of that. Its just weird---but its nice to see she's trying challenging roles.

More research - this is an American remake of a Danish film which you can rent on Netflix.

I just think she falls into the "pretty but can't act for shit" category - other than in "The Professional" I'll have to check out the Danish film now. Though I wanna give this one a shot since David Benioff wrote and Jim Sheridan is directing it. |

Natalie can't act?... seriously? Shes definitely regarded as one of the few younger actresses that have acting chops in the business.

At first it kind of reminded me of Pearl Harbor. Looks good and I LOVE Natalie Portman.

I saw the trailer for this movie the other day when I saw Public Enemies. It looks really good. Plus, Jim Sherdian directed it. I love all of his films,
especially In America.

This looks so good! I squealed in the theater the first time each of the actors popped up. I think all three of them are incredible. Some of my favorite young
actors.

This was the movie Jake was filming when Heath died. I remember them reporting that as a joke during the filming he had Heath's picture up in his jail cell
(I guess scene from the movie). That was before he actually died however.

That looks fantastic. I assumed that she was going to fall in love with him, and it was going to be a love story. The whole him coming back made me think of
Pearl Harbor, but I loved the twist at the end.

Natalie Portman's a great actress. That's one of the things I love about her - she's got actual talent!

Professional. Others might not. To each his own.
Still, the movie itself looks pretty good. Plus, Jim Sherdian directed it. I love all of his films, especially In America. This. Minus that movie he did with 50 cent, that is.
