he likes to randomly spank me, really really hard, and this past week whenever he even gets NEAR me, Burt starts growling and going after him. I know he's
protecting me, and I'm very thankful he's just a mere chihuahua, but how do I make him STOP? he even laid between us on the bed so he couldn't
touch me! bf leaned down to hug me and Burt's all LIKE RAAARRRRFDKGHDNFH
I thought he'd stop since he hadn't seen him in a few days but nope.

Maybe your dog is jealous he's not getting spanked by your bf.

Put your dog in its place...that humans come first and "lead the pack" as Cesar Milan would say. Put him on the floor and don't allow him on the
bed. When he barks at your bf, calmly assert yourself and silence him with an order and a snap of the fingers. If he doesn't stop, put him outside so he
associates negativity(he prob would rather be inside), with his behavior.

Your dog is trying to protect you , he thinks you are getting your ass beat literally in a bad way.

Get a new boyfriend?
Erm... maybe get the BF to give him treats or something? |

My dog will do the same thing sometimes when we are making out/having sex and I just put her in the living room until we are done. I don't think she will
ever see it as us having fun rather than him hurting me. I am not sure your dog will ever be comfortable with your boyfriend smacking you around really hard.

The real question is: why do you let your boyfriend spank you really, really hard?? I think your dog has more sense than you do. |

I would just cut out the spanking in front of the dog. Or cut it out all together would work too.

Very few people are allowed to touch me in my dogs presence. If she hears a smack she will come running to protect me from whoever is in the room with me.
I sometimes smack my leg on purpose just to get a reaction from her. I know I'm not helping with her issues, but its kinda funny to watch her freak out. She is also a chihuahua. Don't underestimate your dog...mine has drawn blood on more than one occassion. |
