Friends - Inconsistencies that bother me

So the episode where they bet the apartment - why is it in the lightning round, if questions were incorrectly answered, Ross would just skip to the next question. But for the question that the girls lost (what is Chandler Bing's job?) they just waited the clock out? Why didn't they just skip to the next questions? 2. Episode where underdog gets away (Season 1 Thanksgiving) - They closed the door, but no one took the key, so how did the door lock? Doors don't automatically lock... 3. Episode after Phoebe finds her real mom in Montauk - when they return after the jellyfish incident, it's their first day back but then Chandler says he sometimes hears them screaming at night...it's only been ONE night?!?!?!?!

Sometimes it was at the Gellar's house, sometimes it was at a college party, sometimes it was in the bar that existed before the coffee shop did.

They all (Monica, Ross, and Rachel) met in high school and Ross and Chandler went to college together. There were never any inconsistencies there... Because when Ross skipped to the next question, he went on when the question was answered (either correctly, or incorrectly). With the final question, the girls never officially answered...they just kept trying to form words. When they finally did give an answer (transponster!) the clock had already ran out and it was too late.

No. Rachel, Ross and Monica all went to high school together. Chandler was Ross's college roommate and met Monica and Rachel when visiting the Gellars for thanksgiving. Chandler then met them both again on another Gellar visit and at a college party, but those were both centered on the fact that they had already met because Monica was always trying to get back at Chandler for calling her fat. The only iffy one is the bar (before it became the coffee shop) when Monica and Chandler are friends by that point but he acts like he doesn't know Rachel, but it's conceivable that you could forget a chick you only met a handful of times at your roommate's house

Oh and obviously Monica and Ross were brother and sister so that's how they "met" lol Yup there were, in the first episode Monica introduces Rachel to Chandler, but later on in flashbacks, theyve met several times and even kissed. It's because he's being dramatic, exaggerating! But then Joey says "that's because sometimes at night I say it through the wall to scare you" when they haven't even spent a night home yet I can't be sure but I thought the stakes were raised for a tie breaker maybe The lightning round was the tie breaker - during the 1 minute they had to answer as many questions it would happen.

Mine's on a latch, so if I'm stupid enough to shut it behind me with a key and without having put it off the latch, then yes I'm locked out automatically... though saying 'automatically' makes it sound like some fancy electronics and it's not

Monica's apartment was because of rent control, her grandmother gave her the apartment and never changed the name on the lease.
