I'm probably going to hell for this, but this movie cracks me up so bad!
 Lawrence Hilton-Jacobs as Joe is SO over the top, it's ridiculous-
''You missed a step and sang off key, boy! Get me a switch! Hold still while I whup ya!'' And Katherine is just the stereotypical hand
wringing, long-suffering matriarch. ''Oh Lawd, my babies! Please Joe, tell me where my babies are singing tonight? What's that? Hush, LaToya, Mama
can't hear!'' Plus, I think every notable black star that ever existed has at least a cameo in this mess.

I just love that Michael literally used to run away from getting beat
... and I still maintain that Jason Weaver + Hot Jackie (Bumper  ) are the best
part of that dang movie.
