I keep reading that you need to rent a car if you plan on going to LA because the public transportation is bad. But is it really? How different is it from
public transportation in NY? I live in ny and I take buses and trains everywhere with no problem, to get into manhattan it takes about an 1hr to get there. I
definitely want to go the the beaches there, especially to malibu, but also stay in the city like in hollywood & beverly hills.
Any money we can save is good but if the only way to get around is by renting a car then that's what I'll do.
