We've run: Trend Micro Ad-Aware SpyBot SD When you search for something on google or yahoo search & then click on the link - it flashes a http address and then changes to another. This time it goes to vornadoheaters.com & then flashes to overclick.cn Please help!!

Have you tried running in 'safe mode' and using the tools you list above? Try that first. If that doesn't work then, if you're both confident and cautious, and you know your way around a computer's processes, this is the kind of advanced tool you might consider using in order to root out your problem: HijackThis download If you're not so confident you can seek help from various forums on the net where people will look at the logs HijackThis produces and give you suggestions.

Its really hard to get rid of but this what helped me http://www.geekstogo.com/forum/How-to-remove-Google-redirect-virus-t243398.html I didn't run all the steps they list what worked for me in this order i ran 1)ccleaner 2)Malwarebytes 3)ccombo fix now its back to normal

Posts: 304 (07/03/2009 2:30 PM) Reply Quote More Recent Posts Message Friend Block Invite Ignore	You can also run a virus scan... get the name of the virus/trojan this way and then do a google search for step by step directions on how to remove it (I guess you would need access to another computer to do the search tho).... I've done this before so it might work...

I did run virus scan (with all 3 & NOTHING shows up in them) When I run SpyBot - it runs about 95% of the way through & his computer suddenly shuts down. I do have another computer (my laptop)

At Step 4 I ran Malwarebyte & it found 2 Trojan viruses that the other 6 did not. This still didn't fix the Google Redirect. I next went to the forums & found that they recommended running Step 3 again (combo-fix). It worked!!!!! No more Redirect!!!!! How do I avoid getting it again? How did it get past 7 virus programs?
