I have someone who's been asking me for the past months to go on a cruise with them but I just don't know if I would want to. What is there to do on
the boat? Does it get boring after a few hrs? Is it worth the money to go on a one?

Depends on the destination. The cruises I've been on have taken me to various cities I've never been. The excursions were really fun. And the cruises
were relaxing. Overall the trips were great because it was like the hotel went with me instead of having to pack up every few days.

I wouldn't go on one. I don't think getting drunk on a boat is safe and a lot of people have fallen off and died.

I loved it, when I went on one. There are bars, clubs, and casinos on board. There's also shopping, bowling, a movie theater, and just laying in the sun,
drinking fruity drinks and relaxing. There's usually entertainment every night, too- like a comedian, a magician, bands, etc. And the food is outrageous!
It's just non-stop buffets.

I think they are tons of fun, but you have to have a lot of people with you

I'm booking one for August. A lot of people recommend them because of the 24hr food and different ports to see.

Absolutely not! That's why so many people go on them each year.

My mom is wanting to take a mother-daughter cruise trip to the Bahamas next summer. After reading all of these negative comments, I don't know if I want to

Don't get me wrong I like to go bars and clubs, I just don't know how I feel about going to them on a cruise.

I love cruises. I do, however, greatly advocate saving up to go on some of the more expensive cruises rather than Carnival. You really get a better quality of
entertainment (comedians, dancers, singers, etc), food, and ships.
And it's a lot of fun if you go with a group. If you have the money, I definitely think it's at least worth trying once. |

I love them because like someone said, you get to visit different places! Once you come back on the ship, there is just so much to do.. food, casino, dances,
musicals, comedy, games, pools, food, tanning.. the list goes on! I'd definitely recommend them.

Cruises are so fun. Some ships/lines are more fun than others but you'll be entertained enough regardless of what ship you choose.
Bahamas wasn't really that great. We were given the least amount of time there and the excursions were more expensive than the other ones. There's a lot to do on the boat. There's usually day activities but we always just went to the pool and suntanned. There's a gym that has classes that you can go to and a spa where you can get massages (these cost extra.) There's also a skating rink and Royal Caribbean has a climbing wall and I think a few others have a golfing area. There's a shopping deck where you buy souvenirs or bottles of alcohol. There's a lot to do and you will not be bored at all. You get pampered the whole time and it's great. The excursions are really fun because you can see a different side of the port, you can either take scenic tours or just go to the beach and swim more. If you do decide to go, try and pick a cruise where you don't spend that many days at sea. then you can see more of the ports and enjoy it more that way. |
