And how many people are you buying for? I spend about $85-100 for two people.

$50-60 for two people. I'm a huge coupon clipper/sale shopper though.

I go grocery shopping biweekly-monthly and usually spend $100-$150 for two people plus two boyfriends. All together we spend about $300 a month.

somewhere between 40-80 a week. It usually alternates between cheaper and more expensive weeks, depending on what stuff I've run out of. This is just for
me.

It averages out to about $150 or so a week for me, the husband and our 2 small kids.
I don't coupon clip, but I usually only buy the shit that's on sale. Something about the clerk saying, "Thank you, you saved $60 today" is borderline orgasmic for me. |

I'd say about 100-150 a week for 3.

How can people spend just like 25-40 dollars a week on groceries for themselves. Do you just eat ramen noodles all week?

I guess this was directed at me.
I rarely eat meat so already that cuts down on costs. I buy chicken maybe 6x a year or something. I stock up on pasta and rice when it's on sale so I only buy those maybe once every other month. So during the week I just need cheese, yogurts, breakfast food (usually waffles or something to take to work), some fruits. And I usually buy frozen, organic veggies to store. And maybe a pint of ice cream as my snack. Oh, and soup for lunch at work. I eat a balanced diet and I'm never hungry.... |

For dinner? Yes. I snack on the fruits, yogurt, etc during the day so I'm never super hungry at dinner.
And I do cook things like mac & cheese or have a baked potato with cheese and veggies so I'm never bored with my food. Basically, I eat Vegetarian at home. I don't see how that's strange. |
